TRAER THEATRE
We are fortunate to have a thriving movie theater in our small town. Thanks to a legion of volunteers and kind donations from our townspeople, we feature first-run movies every week.

For more than a hundred years, Traer has maintained a motion picture presence in central Iowa. From films shown in the original Opera House to the first "talkie" shown on November 1, 1929, the Traer theater has seen many contribute to its success.
Our 144-seat theatre features a Dolby Digital Sound System donated by Farmer’s Savings Bank and Trust.
Tickets go on sale 45 minutes prior to the show at $3.00 per person. Seat savers are available for 50 cents. 3D movies $4.00. The theater is fully accessible.
The theater is also available for rent for special showings and occasions. Inquire with us.
